檢測概述
醋酸鹽霧試驗（ASS試驗）是在中性鹽霧試驗的基礎上發展起來的。它是在5%氯化鈉溶液中加入一些冰醋酸，使溶液的PH值降為3左右，溶液變成酸性，最后形成的鹽霧也由中性鹽霧變成酸性。它的腐蝕速度要比NSS試驗快3倍左右。
檢測目的 檢查金屬及其表面處理層耐酸性鹽霧腐蝕能力，也可檢驗表面處理層的不連續性（如孔隙及其他缺陷） 適用范圍 適用于銅+鎳+鉻或鎳+鉻裝飾性鍍層，也適用于鋁的陽極氧化膜。 檢驗步驟 清洗——封邊——放置——沖洗——觀察評定 |  |
結果評價
為了滿足不同的試驗目的，可以采用多種試驗結果評價標準，如重量變化、顯微鏡觀察、機械性能等。通常試驗結果的評價標準，應由被覆蓋層或產品標準提出。對一般試驗，常規考慮以下幾個方面：
a. 試驗后的外觀；
b. 去腐蝕產物后的外觀；
c. 腐蝕缺陷，如點蝕、裂紋、氣泡等的分布和數量。
d. 開始出現腐蝕的時間。
